This golden retriever puppy is a portrait of Lucy when she was about two months.  Her angelic face and charm brought great joy into the lives of Dennis and Cynthia Sexton for over ten years.  Cynthia said she knew as a baby, Lucy would grow up to be their smart, little princess and that's exactly what she was. Cynthia and I have become good friends through our love for art and animals, and I am proud to say the Sexton's have many of my favorite paintings in their private collection.

This is a painting of Marcie when she was about 4 months old.  Cynthia and Dennis have had many dogs and Marcie, now 11, has lived the life of a princess just like Lucy and Blossom.  The Sexton's are huge animal lovers and any dog who lives and shares their home is the luckiest pet in the world.  This painting is in the Sexton's private collection.

When Sondra decided to give herself a birthday present, she thought why not a painting of Cookie and Lola, her beloved pair of female long hair dachshunds. Cookie, whose silky red hair and assertive personality, had no problem posing and playing in front of the camera.  Lola was quiet and more cautious.  She felt the need to know me better before she opened up to the idea of having herself forever captured in a painting.  By the end of the day and like all little girls, both wanted to show off and have everyone's undivided attention. This painting is in the private collection of Sondra and Larry Levingston of Germantown, Tennessee.

The desire to paint "Jesse" was inspired by, Toto, the cairn terrier in one of my favorite old movies, "the Wizard of Oz".  A smart, quick personality that easy to train, makes this breed an endearing choice to use in movies and commercials. This painting is in the private collectin of Cynthia and Dennis Sexton.

"Missy" is a painting of a Welsh corgis.  Cute face, big ears, bobbed tail and short legs on a wide body best describe this frisky, energetic dog.  But don't let those short legs fool you, Corgis are smart, quick and very capable in efficiently running and even competing in canine agility trials.

Looking for something new and different as an anniversary present for his wife, Bob Turner thought a painting of their beloved Boston Terrier would be just the thing.  The Turner's had loved and raised many Boston Terriers, but Muffin was special.  Their household had not been the same since Muffin's death and, as I affectionately refer, gone to "Rainbow Bridge",

www.petloss.com

Although Muffin's puppies keeps her legacy alive for the Turner family to enjoy, she is still greatly missed.  Bob said Janet was surprised by his gift and happy to have Muffin''s painting on their wall so she could remember her sweet face.  This painting is in the private collection of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Turner and family in Germantown, TN.
