Bogey is a nine year old tabby cat that showed up at our door as a kitten. I really have my suspicions that my children planted him at the back door knowing that he would have cat food and a place to stay by the end of the day. Bogey loves to nap in my flowers as I suspect he must have been a prince in a previous life.
"Bogey" is in the private collection of Cynthia and Dennis Sexton.

Cheddar was a kitten who reminded us of the color of cheddar cheese. His precious face and blue eyes just needed to be recorded. This painting is now in the private collection of Linda and Bill Cantrell of Cordova, TN.

Now I ask you, as a painter, who could resist painting this little face? Those blue eyes were actually that blue and next to that dark gray fur and intense green grass, he was just beautiful.
"Cinder" is in the private collection of Cynthia and Dennis Sexton.

Miss Vicky's full name is Victoria Mallory-Neely Ray, given to her by her dad, Dr. Larry Ray, director of art at Lambuth University. Just a kitten 18 years ago, Vicky became Larry's closest companion while he was working on his dissertation for the Mallory-Neely house in Memphis. Larry is loved by so many great ladies in Jackson, TN that they commissioned me to paint his beloved cat as a surprise birthday present. When we unveiled Miss Vicky's painting at an art reception I was having at Lambuth, it was such a sweet moment to see how touched Larry was by his friend's devotion.

This is a whimsical painting of our 10 year old male, tabby cat. Ranger came to us from the Dallas animal shelter and was named after the Texas Ranger's baseball team by daughter, Shelley, while she was in school at Southern Methodist University. Ranger is one of the few cats I know that answers when called, and I'll give him credit, he's managed to hold his own against three large labs who share the same home.

Roxie is a beautiful, white, Main Coon cat that was commissioned for Chandler Snipes for his 8th birthday by his parents Kym and Shawn of Memphis, TN. Chandler and his brother, Chadwick, have grown up appreciating the beauty of art as his parents are avid collectors and have many beautiful pieces throughout their home. Having already so many videos and toys, Chandler told his parents he thought it was time for him to start collecting art, and Kym thought a painting of Roxie was a good place to start.
